Leslie is a muckle veelage an pairish on the northren tip o the River Leven Valley, tae the wast o Glenrothes in Fife. Accordin tae the population estimates (2006), the veelage haes a population o 3,092.[1] The veelage wis granted burgh o barony status bi James II in 1458 for George Leslie wha acame the first Earl o Rothes. Later, this wis upgradit tae a polis burgh in 1865.[2][3]
